We were initially attracted to Brockenhurst for vacation because of the woodlands that we wanted to visit. But when we got there, the history buff in us were incredibly surprised by the place’s ties to World War I culture. The place is rich in that history, but it’s also rich in historic artifacts from the Bronze Age. We got there, and checked into a very nice place, one of the more quaint establishments of the set of Brockenhurst hotels.
There’s an interesting show that goes on in the New Forest, the reason why we visited the place to begin with. New Forest is interesting for many reasons. A lot of the animals there roam free range, and it’s known for its New Forest ponies, which are a sight in and of itself. The park also offers an excellent cycling path, where many recreate on a daily basis. On your way out, you might consider traveling by train to soak in the scenery.
