The first priority for anyone who desires to take part in the radiology technologist career is a full-blown formal training program that will give that person all the knowledge and skills needed to perform his duties and responsibilities well. For the many people that came ahead of you, it is quite obvious that the training program of their choice was a 2-year program culminating into an Associate’s Degree and this is already sufficient in placing you into a position to be successful as a radiology technologist. But before you are able to enroll in an accredited training program offered in most universities and colleges, you must be aware that you first need to have a high school diploma or its equivalent GED. The school will also probably check whether you have already attended specific math and science courses such as algebra, physics, biology, anatomy, and physiology. You may also find that some institutions require their applicants to first pass an entrance exam so as to determine just how prepared students are for the training that’s ahead of them.
